My first room was a D-Dorm Middle Single. Upstairs. On my first day I remember walking past the Men’s Room. I went around to the other hallway where the door was labeled Women. HA! They both led to the same bathroom. Yup. Coed dorms. Coed bathrooms. 3 toilets. 2 showers. Maybe 3 sinks?

I recently met a woman here in Nashville who went to Ringling School of Art. They had a freakin’ CURFEW!!! No one of the opposite sex allowed in any of the dorm rooms. Wild! My niece Kyra is applying to colleges now and I am amazed that coed dorm options are rare.

Anyone remember the dorm list kept in the housing office of where everyone really lived and then the “official” list?
